Birmingham Charity Dinner May 2009 -
Another successful event |
A charity dinner was organised in
Birmingham on the 31st of May 2009
by Abdul Rehman Memorial Trust
Birmingham Committee in
aid of Bewal International Hospital
project.
This event was well
attended by about 400 men, women and
children. Local businessmen and doctors
were also among the attendees in this
function.
The
event started with recitation from the
holy Qur'an followed by an update on the
project from Dr Atiq-Ur Rehman and
speeches from few prominent guests.
Chaudhry Saeed acted as the stage
secretary and was helped by local
councillor Salma Yaqub in his appeal for
collecting donations.
Over £50,000 were raised in
donations on the evening.
The ARM Trust committee wishes to thank
all those who helped to make this
function a great success.
