Slough Charity Function 2006 |
First of its kind fund raising event
was organised by Ch. Ishtiaq Managing
Director of Al-Noor Foods Ltd at Slough
on 18th of September 2006. £20,000 were
raised with contributions made by local
residents from Slough and surrounding
areas.
The event was attended by
over 200 people including the local
member of Parliament Fiona McTaggart,
Lord Mayor of Slough along with local
councillors and business community.
"This hospital project will hugely
uplift basic healthcare facilities for
the local population. the ultimate
benefit will be immense and it will save
lives of young mothers and children",
stated by Fiona McTaggart in her speech.
Lord Mayor of Slough said, "It is
very vital and compulsory for us all to
support these projects to promote the
basic health education in developing
parts of the world."
Ch. Ishtiaq
the host of this event expressed his
strong ties with Bewal International
Hospital Project. He urged the people to
donate generously and become regular
donors. He also thanked heartedly to all
who have supported him in organising
this event and also to those who have
attended.
Buffet dinner was
served at the end of event sponsored by
a local businessman.
